Kava Haus began four years ago when Brad and Tricia Heys decided they wanted to create something spectacular. They bought the house at 187 E. Locust Street and got straight to work. After years of transforming the former funeral home into a cozy, quaint coffee shop, they were finally ready to open their doors.
Today, Kava Haus is one of the most successful small businesses in Wilmington, Ohio.
We'd like to thank all of our customers who have stuck with us for the past few years. And we want to say HELLO to all of the new customers we will have the pleasure of meeting. We wouldn't be who we are without all of you.
This is the first of many blog posts that we will create. We want you all to be able to stay up to date on our growth and are excited to bring you along on this wonderful (and tasty) journey.
Making this website was just a stepping stone towards the future we are creating for ourselves.
Not only are we expanding our presence online, but we're also expanding the physical coffee shop itself. We have been working hard to "pretty up" some of the other rooms in the house so that we can open them up for more seating and space. We anticipate having the new part of the shop opened by spring of 2019.
If you look on our food page, we have also just recently expanded on our menu. We now serve specialty quesadillas every Thursday night from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Stop by and try some of our wacky flavors like the White Trash-adilla and the Guac-adilla!
